INTERESTED IN BEING A BOARD OFFICER IN 2024?
STEP 1: SEE IF YOU FILL THE REQUIERMENTS TO BE A WBHS DECA BOARD OFFICER:
1. Enrollment: I am attending West Bloomfield High School in person the entire 2021-2022 school year. I am enrolled in a co-curricular DECA course the entire school year. This means I am planning to take one of the following courses without exception: Marketing, Advanced Marketing, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Growing Your Own Business, Fashion Merchandising, Personal Finance, Accounting or AP Macro/Micro Economics.
2. Business Courses: I completed a minimum of one semester of a co-curricular DECA course at WBHS.3. Grades: I earned a "B" or higher in all DECA co-curricular courses taken at WBHS.
4. Attendance: I have maintained an excellent attendance record across the board at WBHS. (Excused absences for Covid-19 aside). Excess absences will result from dismissal from the board.
5. Commitment: I have not made a prior commitment that will interfere with that for DECA. If needed I will elect to make DECA my first priority for clubs/activities if they interfere.
6. Attitude: I am confident that when asked by fellow staff and students at WBHS, I am considered to be helpful, polite, positive, energetic and that I work well with others. I am a team player.

Practice the “entrepreneurial” and “management” elements of DECA’s mission statement. Responsible for connecting with chartered association officers and establishing chapter vision, management and organization that ensures each chapter officer has the training, support, accountability and resources to deliver a powerful DECA experience for each DECA member.

- December 6, 2016- DECA Officers attend the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference at The Palace
- December 9, 2016 - Nick Seidel, Nick O'Shea and Raquel Kassa organize and run a 3v3 Basketball Tournament to raise money for our cognitively impaired program
